For this Software Testing Project, our focus was on helping the client ensure the seamless functionality and optimal performance of GETDOC—a dynamic mobile and web-based system designed to facilitate patient-professional interactions. 

Our testing efforts concentrated on validating core objectives such as effortless patient-professional connectivity, secure digital health document management, streamlined treatment timelines, flexible appointment scheduling, and efficient tools for healthcare professionals and hospitals. By meticulously scrutinizing these features, we aimed not only to ensure technical robustness but also to provide invaluable insights for our client to improve business outcomes.

About the Client

The client wanted to bring the entire Medical Industry under one parent roof through the GETDOC platform. 

Our client who is from Africa was looking to enhance the overall robustness of their eHealth platform which would be a space where the patients, their relatives, their doctors & health professionals, and hospitals could communicate and exchange information. The platform would also help doctors to remotely monitor their patient’s health efficiently. 

For that, they partnered with ChromeQA Lab for meticulous testing of their Platform to gain critical insights on core aspects of the software and address unwanted loopholes.

Key Challenges and Solutions

Challenge 1 - Ensuring App Security for E-Prescription

The challenge centered around securing E-Prescriptions to prevent unauthorized access. The system facilitates doctors sharing E-Prescriptions with patients, necessitating robust security measures. The requirement was to implement access restrictions, including a security code, and disable the ability to print prescriptions.

Testing Strategy

Our testing strategy focused on conducting thorough security testing, simulating various scenarios to ensure the effectiveness of access restrictions. We rigorously tested the security code implementation and verified the system’s ability to disable the printing of E-Prescriptions, enhancing overall security.

Challenge 2 - Multi-Tasking Functionalities for Doctors

The client required a feature enabling doctors to multitask, such as conducting call or video appointments while simultaneously creating prescriptions. This presented a challenge in seamlessly integrating these multitasking capabilities into the system.

Our testing approach involved comprehensive testing of the multitasking functionalities for doctors. We conducted scenario-based testing to ensure that doctors could effectively handle the call or video appointments while creating prescriptions without compromising system stability or user experience.

Challenge 3 - Customizing User Experience for HIPAA Compliance

The primary challenge was to customize the user experience for every stakeholder while adhering to the strict guidelines of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). The project, targeted for the US market, required meticulous attention to HIPAA guidelines to ensure data security and compliance.
